Hope for Tomorrow Guatemala is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to building the kingdom of God.
Our Mission is to help meet the spiritual, nutritional and physical needs of the communities that we serve in the country of Guatemala.
Why We Serve
According to USAID, 47% of children under the age of 5 suffer from chronic malnutrition in Guatemala. This is the highest rate in all of Latin America and the Caribbean and one of the highest rates in the world.
Childhood malnutrition causes inadequate brain and organ development, frequently resulting in permanent physical and intellectual impairment.
Our Guatemalan ministry partners travel by pickup truck from their home in Teculutan in the State of Zacapa up a nearby mountain to the remote villages of El Chico and El Mirador each week. They bring with them food and other material support for the children and the families living on the mountain.
This ministry of compassion has been the foundation for a strong relationship with the community and has afforded us many opportunities to share the gospel message in word and in deed.
Our Vision
Our vision is to support efforts in the places we serve to:
Help every child to reach his or her full potential, intellectually, physically, and spiritually.
Provide mothers and children with access to vitamins, formula and nutritious food.
Build God's Kingdom in the beautiful and rugged country of Guatemala.
