There is a direct correlation between access to clean  water and quality of life. Potable water sustains us and  gives us the ability to prevent disease through cleanliness.  Most public water systems in Guatemala are fed from  streams and rivers that are contaminated by sewage and  industrial waste. Waste water treatment plants are  nonexistent or inoperable.  Hope for Tomorrow has dug three fresh water wells, which  supply clean drinking water to whoever may need it in the  surrounding communities. In August 2012, a program to  distribute portable Sawyer water filtration systems to  families in rural villages was started. The recipients  receive instruction on how to properly set up, use, and  clean the system. For most of these people, this is the  first time they have ever had reliable access to clean,  drinkable water.  Revelation 22:17
